Croswell Man Arrested For Theft-Drugs Located At Sandusky Residence He Was Located At

The Sanilac County Drug Task Force, along with the Bad Axe Police Department and the Huron County Sheriff's Office, located and arrested a Croswell man that was wanted for the theft of money from a Huron County business. The 22-year-old was arrested Thursday, May 18th on South Elk Street in Sandusky. A search warrant for a residence in the 200 block of South Elk Street in Sandusky for evidence of the theft was issued the next day. During the search of the residence, investigators found signs of suspected heroin use. Another search warrant was granted for narcotics. Other than the 22-year-old that was in the residence prior to his arrest, investigators made contact with a 43-year-old female that lives at the residence as well as with a 53-year-old man and a 45-year-old female that were just visiting. Seized from the home was marijuana, scales, packaging materials, and physical evidence of suspected heroin possession and crack cocaine use. The evidence will be sent to the crime lab for testing. Additional charges for the drugs are pending. Also assisting with the search warrants were the St. Clair County Sheriff's K-9 Team, Sandusky Police Department, and the Sanilac County Sheriff's Uniform Services Division.
