Election inspectors in Flynn Township will get a bump in pay for their work.
After doing a salary survey of election workers in Sanilac County, the board approved increasing election workers' pay to $13 per hour for the inspector chairman, and $12 per hour for inspectors. They had been receiving $10 per hour.
This year the Presidential primary will be Tuesday, March 10, and the general election will be Tuesday, Nov. 3.
In other matters, the board reviewed a proposed quote from the Sanilac Road Commission for work on the Bailey Road Culvert, but no action was taken.
And, Bob Conely was appointed as deputy clerk to Clerk Katherine Wilson, and hired Shaw, Franzel & Kursinsky, PLLC to do an audit.
Work is proceeding to have a township webpage.
