Vietnam moving wall visits Sandusky this Memorial Day Weekend

This Memorial Day Weekend finds the Vietnam Veterans Memorial Moving Wall making its way to Sandusky for a four day visit. There will be a parade this Thursday morning at 10 through the town, and the wall will be set up immediately after. There will be an opening ceremony at the wall on the courthouse lawn Thursday evening at 6pm. On Friday, a Veterans Town Hall meeting will be held from 9 until 1pm at the Sandusky VFW hall. A flag retirement ceremony that night at 6 and at 8pm a Candle Light POW-MIA and deceased ceremony is planned. Saturday there will be a Vietnam Veterans Lapel Pinning Ceremony at the wall with Michigan Senate Majority Floor Leader Mike Kowall and Senator Phil Pavlov. On Monday, Memorial Day; there will be a VFW program at the courthouse campus and the closing ceremony for the wall Monday afternoon at 3pm.
