The Michigan Department of Transportation will invest $362,000 in crack seal treatments along 50 miles of state trunklines in the Bay Region starting today (Mon.). Traffic will be maintained primarily with flag control and the work is weather dependent. This means there could be delays when traveling the roads scheduled for the work in Tuscola, Arenac, Bay, Saginaw, Clare and Gladwin Counties. The work help will maintain safety by providing a smoother driving surface and by identifying and treating hazardous cracks that threaten the longevity of pavement, extending the life of the roadway. A complete list of the sections of highways that will see the work can be found below. The work is expected to be completed sometime in August.
