A FLUSHING MAN DOESN'T SMOKE BUT IT DIDN'T STOP HIM FROM COMING UP WITH A LIGHTER DESIGN THAT ATTRACTED THE ATTENTION OF THE BIC COMPANY.    THE FLINT JOURNAL REPORTS THAT 28-YEAR-OLD RYAN WALLING WAS NAMED ONE OF 11 GRAND PRIZE WINNERS IN THE COMPANY'S BEST OF YOU LIGHTER DESIGN CONTEST. THE CONTEST WAS PART OF THE COMPANY'S 40TH ANNIVERSARY. ONLINE VOTERS SELECTED THE WINNERS FROM 20 FINALISTS OF MORE THAN 1,000 ENTRIES SUBMITTED. GRAND PRIZE WINNERS SPENT A WEEKEND IN NEW YORK AND VISITED BIC LIGHTER'S FACILITY IN CONNECTICUT TO SEE THE DESIGNS BEING PLACED ON LIGHTERS.
