FIVE SENT TO HOSPITAL FOLLOWING WEDNESDAY MORNING ACCIDENT

ACCORDING TO SANILAC COUNTY SHERIFF GARY BINIECKI A TWO VEHICLE ACCIDENT WEDNESDAY MORNING SENT FIVE PEOPLE TO THE HOSPITAL FOR TREATMENT.     THE ACCIDENT IS SAID TO HAPPENED AT ABOUT 8:30 WHEN 27 YEAR OLD SARAH LUKITSCH OF LEXINGTON ATTEMPTED TO MAKE A TURN EASTBOUND ONTO M-90 FROM WIXON ROAD BUT DID NOT SEE A WEST BOUND VEHICLE BEING DRIVEN BY 53 YEAR OLD SHERYL WEBB ALSO OF LEXINGTON.   LUKITSCH'S CHEVY AND WEBB'S CHRYSLER MINIVAN STRUCK ALMOST HEAD ON, SENDING WEBB AND HER THREE PASSENGERS ACROSS THE ROAD AND INTO A FIELD WHILE LUKITSCH'S VEHICLE SPUN COMING TO A REST FACING WEST IN THE WESTBOUND LANE.     BOTH WOMEN AND WEBB'S PASSENGERS, AN ADULT MALE AND TWO MINORS HAD TO BE TRANSPORTED TO PORT HURON HOSPITAL FOR UNSPECIFIED INJURIES.     ASSISTING AT THE SCENE WERE CROSWELL POLICE, LEXINGTON FIRE, AND CROSWELL EMS.
