THE TUSCOLA COUNTY TRIAL COURTS HAVE ENACTED A NEW POLICY THAT BANS MOBILE ELECTRONIC DEVICES FROM THE TUSCOLA COUNTY COURT HOUSE BUILDING. CHIEF JUDGE KIM DAVID GLASPIE (GLASS-PEE) SAID "THINGS HAVE CHANGED. IT ISN'T 20 YEARS AGO ANY MORE."   HE NOTED NOT ONLY CAN THE PHONES DISRUPT COURT PROCEEDINGS, TAKING STILL PHOTOS OR VIDEOS CAN BE A DISTRACTION. THIS RESTRICTION IS FOR THE TUSCOLA COUNTY COURT HOUSE BUILDING. MANY OF THE OFFICES NOT ASSOCIATED WITH THE COURTS ARE HOUSED IN OTHER BUILDINGS AND ARE NOT EFFECTED. UNDER THE CHANGE, INDIVIDUALS WITH A MOBILE PHONE, LAPTOP COMPUTER, TABLET COMPUTER, OR ANY OTHER MOBILE ELECTRONIC DEVICE WILL BE SENT AWAY FROM THE BUILDING UNTIL THEY NO LONGER HAVE IT ON THEIR PERSON.
