Lapeer's Center for the Arts gets operation grant

The Center for the Arts of Greater Lapeer, Inc. received a $15,000 grant from the Michigan Council of Arts and Cultural Affairs (MCACA) for 2020. The grant will assist the Center for the Arts with educator's fees, artists, marketing, expenses, supplies, marketing, outreach, and production costs. The Center host 12 Gallery exhibitions per year as well as performances in the PIX Theatre, art classes, workshops and theater classes. The grant was awarded through the MCACA peer review process and was one of 342 applications to compete for MCACA Operational Support for the next fiscal yer.
