Two Tuscola Technology Center students were selected to participate in the MSU College of Osteopathic Medicine HOSA (Health Occupations Students of America) visiting day. Health Occupations Students of America Kathryn Cram from Vassar, and Raelynn Hess from Millington were selected to participate in the event. Visiting day gave them the opportunity to meet and interact with medical students, learn some muscle/body manipulation techniques, learn to suture working on a banana, and hold a human brain. The MSU College of Osteopathic Medicine HOSA visiting day gave aspiring physicians a unique opportunity and to experience some of what a medical student does. Michigan State University's College of Osteopathic Medicine invites two members per chapter to attend the event and to participate in hands-on activities related to medical education, and experience a day in the life of a medical student.
