Lapeer County Will Have Two Contested Races in August Election

There will only be two contested races for seats in Lapeer County during the Tuesday, Aug. 4 election.

There is a contested race for the six-year term for Lapeer County Road Commissioners.

Vying for the seat are Republicans Terry Jostock and Les Nichols.

There is also a contested race in Elba Township for trustee. Republicans Rick Gualdoni and Brent Huggler are each running for the one partial term for trustee.

There will also be an election in Burlington Township. Vanessa Hunt is running unopposed for the partial term as township clerk.
