Before Judge Prill in Huron County Circuit Court, Daniel Ayala, was found in contempt for failing to appear at a bond hearing on December 15th, 2020.

Ayala stated he missed the hearing due to personal difficulties, including homelessness and unemployment, which caused him to "panic".

His sentencing, previously scheduled for February 2nd, 2026, has been rescheduled to June 1st, 2026, at 9 AM.
