At least one road project will be done in Akron Township in the coming weeks.

The township's board of trustees approved doing a double chip and seal on one mile of Gotham Road from Thomas Road to Ringle Road. The cost to do that work is $60,552.

The board had originally planned on approving some other proposed road projects. However, some questions came up during discussion. Because of the questions, the board took no action on any other road project.

In other road matters, approval was given to spend $22,230 for two brining applications on gravel road to control dust.

Approval was also given to spend $10,000 to expand the parking lot at the township hall at 4280 West Bay City - Forestville Rd. (M-25).
