COVID-19 deaths increase by three over two days to 15362

The Michigan Department of Health and Human Services (MDHHS) issued its two-day COVID-19 data report today.
From Sunday through today, there have been 1,484 more confirmed cases of the virus for a total of 581,403, which averages out to 742 per day.
And over the two days, there have been 3 more deaths reported for a total of 15,362 fatal cases of the virus.
There are also 56,525 probable cases that are being monitored after 175 were added, and there are 981 probable deaths to be reviewed after 2 were removed.
A probable case means there is a possibility the person was exposed to the virus or has possible symptoms of the virus so they are being monitored. A probable death means it is being studied further to determine if it was COVID-19-caused.
Ten more brings Huron County's cases to 1,618, and there are 488 probable cases that are being monitored after 1 was removed. Fatal cases remain at 55, and there are still 3 probable deaths to be reviewed.
- Thirteen more brings Tuscola County's cases to 2,801, and there are still 349 probable cases being monitored. Fatal cases remain at 127 with 10 probable deaths still to be reviewed.
- Another death brings Sanilac County's fatal cases to 72 with 4 probable deaths still to be reviewed if they were COVID-19-caused. Cases total 1,822 after 13 more were identified, and there are 187 probable cases that are being observed after 1 was added.
- Cases in Lapeer County increased by 20 to 4,290, and there are 644 probable cases that are being followed after 5 were added. Fatal cases remain at 117 with 2 probable cases still to be reviewed.
Another death in Bay County brings the number of fatal cases to 272, and there are still 12 probable deaths to be examined. Cases increased by 14 to 7,040, and there are 208 probable cases being observed after 3 were added.
- In Midland County, there are 4,331 cases of the virus after 6 were added, and there are still 579 probable cases being monitored. Deaths remain at 61 with 3 probable deaths still to be examined.
- Cases in Saginaw County increased by 37 to 13,964, and there are 713 probable cases that are being followed after 1 was removed. Deaths remain at 488, and there are still 11 probable deaths to be examined to determine if they were COVID-19 caused.
- Cases in Genesee County increased by 44 to 21,411, and there are 3,766 probable cases being monitored after 4 were added. Deaths remain at 700 with 50 probable deaths still to be reviewed.
An increase of 137 more brings Oakland County's cases of the virus to 63,818, and there are 10,104 probable cases that are being watched after 41 were added. Fatal cases remain at 1,867 and there are still 110 probable cases to be reviewed.
- The confirmation of 14 more brings St. Clair County's cases to 7,286, and there are 1,290 probable cases that are being monitored after 4 were added. Deaths remain at 241, and there are still 12 probable deaths to be examined.
- Three more deaths brings Macomb County's fatal cases to 1,847, and there are still 102 probable deaths to be assessed if they were caused by the virus. The detection of 135 more brings the number of cases to 54,571, and there are 3,601 probable cases being monitored after 5 were added.
- An increase of 83 brings Detroit City's cases to 29,834, and there are 2,385 probable cases that are being observed after 5 were removed. Deaths remain at 1,844, and there are still 126 probable deaths to be reviewed.
- An increase of 187 more brings the number of cases in Wayne County to 63,823, and there are 4,700 probable cases that are being followed after 5 were added. Fatal cases remain at 2,056, and there are still 92 probable cases to be assessed.
And, COVID-19 cases in the United States increased by 84,981 to 28,163,794, according to the Johns Hopkins University of Medicine. Deaths in the United States also increased by 2,109 to 499,779.
Cases globally increased by 465,209 to 111,627,133, and deaths increased by 9,197 to 2,471,338.
