COVID-19 Cases Total More than 111 Million Globally

The John Hopkins University of Medicine reports COVID-19 data seven days a week. According to the Sunday's university report, the number of cases of the virus globally is now more than 111 million. An increase of 240,877 brings the number of global cases to 111,161,924. And, fatal cases of the virus total 2,462,141 after 5,769 additional deaths occurred. Also over the last 24 hours, the number of cases of the virus in the United States increased by 40,539 to 28,078,813. There were also 1,142 additional deaths for a total of 497,670 fatalities. There will not be an updated COVID-19 data report on Michigan until Monday afternoon. The Michigan Department of Health and Human Services will issue a data report on the state at 3 p.m., Monday. The report will be a two day total on Sunday's and Monday's number of cases and deaths.
