The Bad Axe City Council Monday night approved a tentative agreement with the Fraternal Order of Police on a contract for its officers.   City Manager Rob Stiverson said the contract will run through the end of June 2024. The contract has 2 per cent increases in wages for the officers, with the command staff getting a little extra bump. The police chief is not included as he is not covered by the union as a department head.    In other action, permission was given for hosting the City Wide Garage Sale during Fair Week. They ask residents who will have a garage sale to let city hall know, as they will be posting locations on its FaceBook Page. Council was told that Consumers energy will be doing gas service replacements at a number of locations scattered around town, which is the reason many have been finding Miss Dig flags locating utilities. They also now have a form for those who would like a tree planted as a memorial to a lost loved one to get the process moving forward.    The city will also pay the 41 hundred dollar cost to complete the chimney project at the Allen House with the Bad Axe Historical Society.
