Caro Farmers' Market now open on Wednesdays too

The Caro Farmers' Market has been open a little over a month and it is already expanding.

Besides being open 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturdays, the market is now going to be open 5 to 8 p.m. on Wednesdays as well.

On Wednesday, there will be live music by local artist Vinny Lupinski, and Maria's Mexican food truck will be there.

On Saturday, is kids play days with crazy hair days with prizes awarded. There will be free popcorn and kids crafts.

Some of the offerings that can be found at the market include- cherries, herbs, blueberries, potatoes, squash, zucchini, pickles, cucumbers, baked goods, jams and jellies.

Artisans and crafters create quality handmade products including- one of a kind jewelry, home decor, lovely kitchen aprons, garden art, plush and crocheted collectables, framed canvas art, graphic tumblers and apparel, wind chimes, key chains, and more.

Each week there will be different offerings from vendors.

The market is located at 238 County State Street, where Stephens Tire store used to be.

The market is a state-of-the-art facility. It was designed to be a multi-use site to host events year around and not just in the summer.

The market will operate until Oct. 30.
