No one hurt when car strikes motorcycle that broke down on the road in Sand Beach Township Friday night

No one was injured Friday night when a vehicle struck a disabled motorcycle in the roadway in Sand Beach Township. Huron County Sheriffs deputies were called to the scene on Schock Road, north of Lincoln Road just after 8 Friday night. 30 year old Arnold Lee Stone of Oscoda had mechanical trouble with the 1998 Kawasaki Motorcycle, He was in the southbound lane, when a 2014 Chrysler driven by 30 year old Travis John Bender of Harbor Beach didn't notice the motorcycle until he was upon it. Stone was able to get out of the way, and fled the scene. Deputies tracked him down to a nearby apartment. Both drivers and a passenger in the car were not hurt. Deputies said Stone was operating the motorcycle with a suspended licence, no insurance, improper plates, no motor cycle endorsement on the suspended license and was cited for leaving the scene of an accident.
