        A Sebewaing man stood mute today to 3 counts of second degree criminal sexual conduct with a child under the age of 13 and two counts of first degree criminal sexual conduct with penetration with a child under the age of 13. William Gerald Diehl had a not guilty plea entered on his behalf and a 2 day jury trial was set for January 25th. An additional count of habitual offender 3rd offense was also entered. His $10,000 personal recognizanse bond was continued.

In other action, a former Bad Axe resident plead guilty in a plea agreement to one count of welfare fraud over $500, and one count of medicad fraud. Rebecca Braun stated that she had made a false statement on an application. Her sentencing date was set for September 13th of this year, and the court will continue to review the agreement between the Attorney General's Office and the Defense. Her personal recognizance bond of $5000 was continued.
