A 35 year old Bad Axe man received 2 1/2 to 20 years in prison, when he was sentenced for violating parole when he appeared Monday in Huron County Circuit Court. Ray Laverne Lane had originally been convicted of maintaining a Meth lab, in connection with a Meth bust in Bad Axe and Verona Township several years ago. He had violated probation by not informing the probation department on a change of address and testing positive for drugs in his system. Judge Gerald Prill told Lane that the Court had hope for him in the original sentence, but at the original sentencing Prill had noted there would be no further breaks from his court. Lane had several thousand dollars in fees, fine and other obligations still owed to the court, which the Judge ruled were uncollectible.
