There are now 6612 fatal COVID-19 cases after 11 more deaths

Besides the number of confirmed COVID-19 cases increasing, so is the number of fatalities.

Michigan now has 113,183 cases of the virus after 571 more were detected, and 11 more deaths brings the number of fatal cases to 6,612.

However, the Michigan Department of Health and Human Services, which compiled the data report, noted of those 11 deaths, 5 were identified during a review of vital records.

The report noted there are 113,183 probable cases being monitored after 111 more were added. And, there are still 320 probable deaths to be reviewed.

A probable case means there is a possibility the person was exposed to the virus or has possible symptoms of the virus. A probable death means the death is being studied further to determine if it was COVID-19-caused.

One more brings Huron County's number of cases to 175, with 32 probable cases being monitored. There have been 5 deaths in the county because of the virus.

- Tuscola County has 420 COVID-19 cases after 1 more was detected. Probable cases being monitored remain at 54, and there have been 29 deaths caused by the virus.
- Sanilac County's numbers remain steady with 129 cases, as well as 5 probable cases being monitored. There have been 6 deaths, and there is 1 probable death to be reviewed.
- Although Lapeer County's number of cases remain steady at 483, probable cases increased to 89 after 2 were added. There is still 1 probable death to be reviewed, and there have been 36 deaths.

Bay County's numbers remain steady with 821 cases, and 90 probable cases being monitored. Deaths remain at 46/

- The COVID-19 data for Midland County has not been updated from Monday.
- Another death in Saginaw County brings the number of fatal cases to 133. Also with four more, there are 2,619 cases now. Probable cases being monitored are still 186, and there are still 4 probable deaths to be reviewed.
- In Genesee County, there are 3,407 COVID-19 cases after 22 more were detected. There are 762 probable cases being monitored after 2 more were added. The number of fatal cases of the virus remain at 281 with 26 probable deaths to be reviewed.

The number of fatal COVID-19 cases in Oakland County is 1,139 after 3 more occurred over the last 24 hours. Also, there are still 49 probable deaths to be reviewed. There are 15,717 cases of the virus after 56 more were detected. And, there are 3,832 probable cases being monitored after 56 more were added.

- Although the number of cases in St. Clair County remained at 826, the number of probable cases being monitored increased to 137 after 2 more were added. There have been 52 deaths connected to the virus, and there is still 1 probable death to be reviewed.
- Macomb County now has 957 COVID-19-related deaths after another one occurred over the last 24 hours. There are still 48 probable deaths to be reviewed. The confirmation of 36 more brings the total number of cases of the virus to 13,292, and there are 505 probable cases being monitored after 4 were added.
- Detroit City has 14,078 cases with 1,083 probable cases being monitored 6 after more were added. Probable deaths to be reviewed remain at 118, and there have been 1,515 fatal cases of the virus.
- There have been 1,262 COVID-19 deaths in Wayne County after 2 more deaths occurred over the last 24 hours. There are still 51 probable deaths to be reviewed. The confirmation of 65 more brings the total number of cases to 17,369, and there are 1,123 probable cases being monitored.
