Caseville approves ordinance prohibiting recreational marijuana facilities in town

Following a second reading of the ordinance, the City of Caseville approved an ordinance that prohibits recreational marijuana facilities in town. City Clerk Jamie Learman said the ordinance will take effect after its published. In other action, the council approved the Chamber of Commerce Pumpkinfest for September 21st and 22nd. There will be plenty of activities for the kids, including a parade and decorating light poles in town. A link to the chamber web site can be found below. On September 21st, The Historical Society will have a car show at the corner of Prospect and Ash Street from 10am until 2pm. They approved the fireworks for the School October 11th, following the homecoming game, and set trick or treat hours for October 31st from 5 to 7pm. The bid of 111,606 dollars was approved to have Ace Saginaw Paving to do paving work on Ash and Division Streets and an ultra thin layer on Emerick, Terri and Lee Streets yet this year.
