Over 2000 without power Wednesday morning after storms roll through last night

Over 2000 DTE customers remain in the dark this morning after storms rolled through Tuesday evening. The National weather service had issued tornado warnings Midland, Saginaw, then Tuscola and Sanilac Counties. The warnings started at 6:42 in the evening in Midland County and ended just before 10pm in Sanilac County. The storms knocked out power to more than 12 hundred customers north of Vassar, and 886 north of Imlay City. There are scattered outages in the areas near Caro, Marlette and Sandusky. Thumb electric Cooperative this morning had 84 member customers out. At this point we have no reports of any major damage.
