A 20 year old Bad Axe man was given 330 days in jail, with credit for 53 days already served when he was sentenced in Huron County Circuit Court for two counts of uttering and publishing and being a habitual offender. Jesse Lee Peters was placed on a curfew while on probation for 60 months, and can go through the Tri-Cap drug treatment program if space can be found. He will get credit off the days in the program from the jail time, but only if he successfully completes it. Peters had taken checks from his grandmother to support his drug habit. He told the court he had started injecting heroin at the age of 16. Judge Gerald Prill told Peters its time to step up to the plate, telling him he will overdose if he doesn't and that he is on the "Fast track to your death".
