Debb Knarian of "We The County" talked with the Huron County Commissioners at Tuesday's regular meeting. She had a number of questions she had pre-submitted to the board concerning getting local businesses open again. She continued to ask the board to continue to express their concerns on getting businesses open to the Governor. She also asked for some specific information related to vaccines, how many have been vaccinated in the county and the efficacy of the current vaccines. The board didn't have that information and she was told that information would be available through the county Health Department and she could seek that information through the freedom of information act.
The board opened 2 bids for a patrol vehicle for the sheriffs department, which were turned over to the properties committee to study and make a recommendation. They approved hiring Steven D. Cole as a full time Assistant Prosecuting Attorney, and will allow Huron County Right to Life to use the Steps of the Huron County Building and its outdoor electric outlets for its' annual observance on January 24th.
