Michigan gas prices rise 6 cents compared to last week

     Gas prices in Michigan are down after jumping 12 cents to $2.75 per gallon on August 14. Michigan drivers are now paying an average price of $2.70 per gallon for regular unleaded, 6 cents more than a week ago. Still drivers are paying 17 cents less than this time last month and 20 cents less than this same time last year. The most expensive gas price average is in Ann Arbor is $2.79, while the least expensive average can be found in Traverse City $2.56 a gallon.
    Compared to last week, Metro Detroit's average daily gas price decreased. Metro Detroit's current average is $2.75 per gallon, 1 cent less than last week's average and 19 cents less than this time last year.
