Motorists in the upper Thumb will have some slush on the roads this morning to deal with. Kevin Arndt of the Huron County Road Commission said the heaviest slush is in the southern part of the county. It's generally wet around the shoreline with slush in the interior of the county. Road crews are out blading it off. The Road Commission also were called out for a couple of trees down on the road overnight. One on M-19, one on Huron City Road, another on M-25 on the west side of the county. Arndt said motorists on the back roads should be careful as there may have been some trees brought down on roads that aren't well traveled and yet to be called in. If you are heading out, slow down and allow extra travel time.
