MANY BUSINESSES AND INDIVIDUALS, ALIKE, PARTICIPATED BY ATTENDING THE EVENT AND/OR SPONSORING ONE OF THE FORTY-EIGHT WOODEN CAMELS THAT RACED THAT EVENING. EVERYONE WHO ATTENDED HAD A GREAT TIME! CAMEL SPONSORS WERE EXTREMELY CREATIVE WHEN ’DRESSING’ THEIR CAMEL. THERE WERE CAMELS IN CARS AND TRUCKS TO CAMELS IN CAMOFLAUGE AND TUTUS. THERE WAS EVEN A CAMEL DRESSED IN ARABIC ATTIRE. THE CAMELS RACED IN 10 HEATS OF SIX DOWN A TRACK WITH THE HELP OF CELEBRITY ROLLERS AND OVERSIZED FUZZY DICE. THE CAMELS ADVANCED ONE SPACE AT A TIME EACH TIME THEIR NUMBER CAME UP ON THE TOSSED DICE. INDIVIDUALS WERE ABLE TO BET ON EACH HEAT USING CAMEL BUCKS. THE EVENT WAS EXTREMELY SUCCESSFUL AND A ONE-OF-A-KIND EVENT FOR THE AREA.
